Abstract

The collection contains items on the American Revolution, the Civil War, World War I, World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam Conflict. Correspondence, memorabilia, telegrams, photographs, declassified Army documents, reports, newspapers, journals, manuscripts, teaching materials, and transcripts of interviews are among many things that are a part of this distinctive collection.

Abstract Dana Chwan was the wife of First Lieutenant Michael Chwan, an Air Force pilot shot down over North Vietnam at the beginning of the war. He was listed on the Missing in Action and Prisoner of War lists for years until 2/3 of his teeth and a piece of his jaw bone were identified. Those remains of Lt. Chwan are now buried in Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, D.C.Because of Lt. Chwan's involvement with the Vietnamese conflict, Dana Chwan was extremely active in POW/MIA...
