Dana Chwan Collection
Martha A. Dirks Papers
This collection consist of the faculty papers of Martha A. Dirks, who taught library science at Fort Hays Kansas State College from 1969 to 1992. These papers are comprised mainly of course materials along with accreditation materials from the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (N.C.A.T.E.) and Kansas Department of Education.

Dorman Lehman Collection
The Dorman Lehman Collection contains materials relating to the Overland Trails with an emphasis on the Leavenworth and Pike’s Peak Express. The collection of maps, research notes, correspondence, articles, and surveys was given to the Smoky Hill Trail Association by Mr. Lehman at the annual conference in Russell, Kansas in October 2014.
Edmund Pfannenstiel Collection
The Edmund Pfannenstiel Collection includes wartime logs, letters and correspondence, service records and honors from his time as a prisoner of war in Stalag IX B during World War II.
Larry D. Fenwick & Lynda Beck Fenwick Oz Collection
The Fenwick Oz collection contains books, artwork, handcrafted dolls, and other memorabilia relating to the Oz books created by L. Frank Baum. The collection was curated by FHSU alumni Larry D. Fenwick and Lynda "Lyn" Beck Fenwick (class of 1966), who collected the materials over the course of Larry's career. The materials date between 1899 and 2025.
Ernestine Fields Papers
This collection consists of the papers of Ernestine Fields, who graduated from the Fort Hays Kansas State Normal School in 1917 and who and taught music at the Kansas State Teachers College of Hays as a substitute in 1924. The papers are comprised of photographs, correspondence, coursework and music recital memorabilia relating to her time in Hays.
