Offering lists, diaries, and field notes, 1923-1963
Series
Identifier: FC 013
Offering lists consist of paper records detailing condition and aspects of specimens excavated and offered to the Fort Hays Kansas State College Museum by George F. Sternberg. Notes further indicate if the item remained with Fort Hays or was sold to other entities.
Diaries and field notes detail excavation projects and excursions. Individuals participating in the dig are sometimes indicated. Notes may indicate particular features of the terrain, or location where an excavation took place. Due to the sensitive nature of this documentation, and the potential for harm to historic excavation sites, access to these materials is limited.
