Scope and Contents
This series consists of general papers created by or about George F. Sternberg. Materials include: correspondence between George F. Sternberg, his colleagues, and members of the Sternberg family; published works and speeches in both manuscript (draft) and completed form; newspaper clippings relating to George F. Sternberg and his professional interests; employment records with Fort Hays State; and George F. Sternberg's obituary and funeral pamphlet. Some materials created by Myrl V. Walker and Katherine Rogers relating to George F. Sternberg have been processed as part of this collection.
This series also contains one subseries of materials created by or relating to George B. Pearce, an associate of George F. Sternberg who accompanied him on several fossil hunts during the 1920s, 1930s, and 1940s.
