Biographical / Historical
World War II - United States Army Air Corp, volunteered in 1940. Trained at Chinnock Field, IL. Flew the B-17 and the B-24. Squadron Commander, Lt. Col. with Scott's Raiders out of Australia. Attacked Jap. shipping S. Pacific Area; bombed Japan from Iwo Jima; Shootdown; Manhattan Project. Awarded the Flying Cross and both the Bronze and Silver Star.
