Materials from the research that Dr. Currey did for his book "Follow Me and Die". The book tells the story of the longest battle in Germany during World War II. The Battle of the Huertgen Forest, which raged from late 1944 until early 1945 in Germany, was one of the worst defeats for the U.S. Army with almost 33,000 casualties.
