Biographical / Historical
Vietnam War - 3rd Marine Division (2 tours) 1967-1969 (18) Truck driver - volunteered to help clean up an ammo dump (Dong Na). Went into bomb disposal - "tunnel rot" blow them up; fear - snakes and punji sticks. Wounded by a steel bayonet - Navy Commendation Medal. S. V. Medal of Honor. Served as an artillery spotter, wounded again by friendly fire. Shattering experience of killing men, women and children. Saw the face of the first man he killed in his dreams almost every night.
