Scope and Contents
The Tim Johnson Collections consist of materials of historical interest collected and donated by Tim Johnson. These collections include manuscripts such as correspondence, maps, and other documents. There are a significant number of photographs in various formats such as cabinet cards, stereoview cards, and some photographic postcards or carte-de-visite. There are many picture postcards that document historical Kansas places and events. Mr. Johnson continues to collect materials, so this collection may grow over time.

Back: Mahon's Modern Camp is located in the south part of the City on U.S. 75 and Ks. 57. Four blocks from the business district, one block from beautiful Kelly Park and two blocks from the Neosho River where good fishing for channel cat, bass and crappie is available. Our cabins are clean and cool. Modern conveniences including hot and cold water, shower bath, toilets, electric lights and natural gas. We offer the same conveniences you enjoy in your own home. Burlington has a sporty golf course, good theater and a fine group of friendly business men. Plan to stop over for a few days rest. Enjoy yourself and get acquainted. You'll like Burlington. Our rates $1.00 to $2.00 including private garages Phillips "66" Gas and Oil L. E. Lietzke Manager. (There is also a map that shows a route from Winnipeg, Canada to Galveston, Texas with listing of other camps along the way.)
