Series IV: Photographs, 1940 - 1991
Scope and Contents
This series contains Donald E. Stout's collection of photographs. Cast photos from various Fort Hays State theater and opera productions are included, as well as photographs of various choirs directed by Stout, including at Fort Hays State. The series also contains three boxes of 35mm slides depicting the Fort Hays Singers USO tour of the Pacific in the winter of 1971-1972. Photographs of Donald E. and Marguerite Stout, as well as Dr. Stout with his colleagues, are included in this collection.

Processing Information
Loose photographs in this series have been retained in folders that preserve their original order. Photographs within each folder have been separated into envelopes grouped by size and labeled with their contents to provide access to the materials. Prints are labeled with their photographic process (monochrome, color, or instant film).
Photographs from the 1988 Madrigal Dinner were previously housed in a brown photo album. Photographs in the Framed Photo Collage folder were previously housed in a framed photo collage. These photographs have been rehoused into envelopes in their original order to ensure their long-term preservation. A digital scan of the photo collage prior to rehousing is available upon request by emailing SCUA@fhsu.edu.
Slides have been maintained in their original order with dividers marking the breaks between the original slide boxes.
