Scope and Contents
This series contains Dr. Forsythe's research on the history of Kansas. Topics include materials documenting the settlement of Hays and Ellis County, the establishment and activities of nearby military installations at Fort Hays, Fort Harker, and Fort Wallace, and an overview of the Indigenous people and Tribal reservations within the State of Kansas.
Materials in this series contain terminology for Native people that may be outdated, inappropriate, or derogatory. Folder titles have been retained for these materials so viewers may understand the historical context of their creation.
