Treasury Department Second Auditors Office, Washington, D.C., April 20, 1887.
Sir: Your claim for additional bounty as late of Col. G and B. 1 Col. Cav. has been examined and disallowed. The action of this Office has been approved by the Second Comptroller of the Treasury, to whom, according to law, all the papers were referred for decision.
You were enrolled Aug. 5, 1861 for three years, and discharged Oct. 8, 1864, again enrolled Febry, 1, 1865 for one year under act of July 4, 1864 and discharged Oct. 28, 1865. You received $100 original bounty for your first service and the accrued instalments [sic] of bounty for your second service. As you were not discharged from your second service on account of expiration of term of service, war wounds or injuries received in line of duty no more bounty is due. Having received greater bounty then $100 you are not entitled to bounty under act of July 28, 1866.
Your discharge certificate from Co. B. is enclosed.
