Little Rock Arks. July 8th 1865

Capt William M. Dye Chief Mustering Officer Leavenworth Kansas

Par 2 Special Orders, 338 of June 28th from the War Dept. A. G. O. announces the dishonorable dismissal of Col. Thos. M. Bowen, 13th Kans. Infantry, who was honorably mustered out on 26th ultimo, under supervision of this Office, and with his regiment is now enroute for Leavenworth to receive final pay. All muster out rolls were boxed up and forwarded to you please secure and retain Col Bowens discharge and place necessary remarks on field and staff rolls as give his true status - and prevent pay being drawn.

In a day or two you will doubtless be fully advised as I telegraphed substance of foregoing to Washington as authoritiz.
