Handwritten: Sun AM Dear Mother I hope you are feeling a lot better. We got to Gene's OK at 5 PM Sat but we didn't hurry & stopped to rest several times. We left Bevs at 6 Sat AM Tried to call them [illegible] all evening but called over there at 6 Sat AM & they'd been to drive in in El Dorado. Mick had gone out at 5 Fri eve Bev had to go get him at 3 in AM & just one hour later he was called out again so we didn't see him & didn't sleep much either. It was awful hot & windy yesterday but is cold this AM. We are going on a little trip today Will tell you about it later. Hope Freda got there & all is well. All are OK here We ate dinner Sat across street from here Love Elsie |
