Front: Medicine Lodge Stockade
Back: Stockade and Museum, 2 blocks west of Main St. on Hwy. 160, Medicine Lodge, Kansas. Built in 1961 by local citizens, it is a replica of one built by the State of Kansas in 1874 to protect early settlers from Indians. Inside is housed one of the outstanding historical museums in the Midwest. The museum includes a well preserved log cabin.
