Back: The first Sod House at Colby, Kans. Built and furnished like the thousands of rugged prairie homes used by the Homesteaders throughout the plains region of North America. Walls 2 feet thick are plastered and whitewashed inside, Roof is covered with sod. Open May to Autumn for visitors.
