Back: Handwritten: These rabbits were about starved and congregated around a pile of food - ground was covered with snow 12 to 18 inches deep for over a month - Thousands of rabbits starved to death and a great many horses, mules and cattle also starved. It now looks as though spring had come. Chas. |
