Front: Handwritten: Beloit Kan Sept 22-78 W A Nichol, Dear Sir your letter is received. Our object in selling the land was to get means to improve here. The trade you speak of wouldn"t help us. I owe Mr. Moses Cousins 15 dollars to be paid Jan 1 79. I would be glad to have the Clavar note pay it if possible. Did you get judgment against Downs in the Relsey note case this last court. Respectfully, O A Barber. Can you collect the money of {illegible] & pay tax on that Bluff Creek land before it is sold in Oct.
