Front: Today, January 29, 1961, marks the 100th birthdate of the admission of Kansas as the 34th state of the Union. Topeka, the Capitol city of Kansas, welcomes all philatelists to the Kansas Centennial Stamp Exhibition being sponsored this week end by the Topeka Stamp Club and the Kansas Precancel Society, commemorating this great event. Topeka has also been selected as the location for the first International Food Fair ever held in the U.S. and its sponsor, the Shawnee standing event, June 13-25, 1961. The Topeka Chamber of Commerce wishes to add its welcome to the visiting philatelists and hope they will return often. Next Kansas Centennial year philatelic event will be the Eight Annual Kansas Precancel Society Spring Festival in Wichita, March 25-26 and your Topeka hosts are pleased to recommend attendance.
