Back: Written in ink: Jan. 24, 1913. Dear friend, yours rec’d and I nearly fainted and fell of my chair. The smeller was handy that’s what saved me. We are enjoying fine health. Mothers jaw is swelled up with toothache that’s all. What are you all doing this winter? We are having no winter the ground has not frozen. Dad was just out digging in the garden. He tries to keep busy I am working all the time as Telephone Operator. Had a nice letter from Edith yesterday with pictures. Hope to hear from you again sometime soon. Wish you would visit me. Helen.
