Front: Visit Largest Authentic Prehistoric Indian Burial in the Mid-West
Back: Indian Burial Pits 4 miles east on Highway No. 40 Salina, Kansas. One of the most important archaeological discoveries in the Middle West. Skeletal remains of 146 Indians, uncovered and left just exactly as they were placed there many centuries ago. Artifacts such as pottery, ceremonial flint knives, necklaces from clam shells, grinding stones, etc., may also be seen throughout the pit.
