Back: Written in pen: June 10 Dear Friend will drop a few lines to let you know we had a big rain and hail storm last night broke windows out and tore roof to pieces it broke some windows out of your house I suppose the house is in bad shape [illegible] so hard I have not been able to see quite a bit of damage done only broke the wheat one window don’t forget you owe me for in a letter.
