Biographical / Historical
German national who became a lawyer. Served in the German army in 1938 during the Czech Crisis. He escaped from the Nazis in 1939 and came to America. He was tried as Enemy Alien in 1942 and was released into custody of friends. U.S. Army (USA), draftee. Assigned several different places in America before going overseas to the European theater. WWII
