Biographical / Historical
Korean War - U.S. Army, Heavy Weapons Specialist - Mr. Scott was drafted and sent to Korea in 1950. He saw extensive action in Korea and describes the action as "see-saw". He participated in the battles at Blood Ridge, and Ambush Alley, where he compares the scene to that of a Butcher Shop. He gives a description of the assault on Hill 66.
Mr. Scott also describes a second war fought in Korea, that of the swamp rats.
Mr. Scott was a machine gunner, carrying a water cooled M-30 machine gun capable of firing 365 round per minute.. He attributes his survival a great deal to teamwork and good leadership.
