Biographical / Historical
World War II - US Army from 1933-1945. He was a reserve officer when he enlisted in the Army. He started active duty on July 6, 1940 and ended it on July 8, 1946. Assigned to the 7th Observation Battalion for desert manuevers to prepare for North Africa. He was transferred as operations office (S3) and a captain. He was then assigned to intelligence. In February 1944, he was transferred as General's representative and was in charge of field artillery for the landing of Omaha Beach.
