Biographical / Historical
Korean War - 27th Infantry Regiment, 25th Division – Talked of the gritty, miserable, terrifying life of the combat infantryman. Described the Chinese human wave attacks, their bugles echoed through the hills- winter retreat after they entered the war. Americans can be just as cruel and sadistic as any Asian. “3 minutes in combat can teach you more than 16 weeks of basic training.” Fear was a constant factor – adrenalin “highs” during combat.
