Feb. 6, 1881 at home

Well hi I thought I would try and answer your letter to whitch we was glad to know you all well are are all well but Lizzie and she had a dishwasher yesterday and the children calls her Annie Miller. Lizzie is getting along fine well it has bin raining and snowing and sleeting and frog on the trees till some of them has broke down and some of the lims broke off and the corn is broke prety bad it thawed some today and I think will clear up now we have got two pigs marrow fetched then home today

so now we have two head horses two head cows two ?? two head hogs and one brand new baby beat tha if you can and show your sel a now I was at Pawnee today and seen a wolf it was troting along as unconcerned as you please one day i seen two and one Indian he was on a fancy and one of my horses kicked at his poney as he passed he looked at me and muttered something but I went ahead like the jews as papa yuste to say and I let the Indian so I got a witness today fer the first it looks old fashioned have not read mutek in it yet I was at table rock at mill the other day it is

a watter mill I did not get my grinding but the folks say they do good work a little better tha the stream mill at Pawnee but I donte know 1 hogs is worth 4.50 and harde to get at tha I think a man can make something at tha when you can buy corn at 15 cents and none of my corn will cost me mutch over 15 cents when it is put ino the crib as the man has not got it all husked yet I tolde him if he did not take 15 cents for tha I did not want it so he ?aned on tha is if he ever gets it husked I have bought some timber Mr. Marrow and me and we are cuting and hawling some

when it is nice weather I had a letter from John Barnett and was glad for it ?? fer it as Rays yuste to say how is Willy Ray doing and is John still going for Peggy given or not how is tom Pims doing any good for his country or is he a peak or elo you think he will die at the hole as peak did well ?? I must quit for this time I wished you would try and see James Patton and see if you can get tha from bookins I can get 10 per cent fer it I would like to know so I can fix for it I will write to Evekins
