Dear Sir the Received yours enclosing one dollar, for which we have given you sir, and are much obliged. You seem to think our prices too high - if you say what would be a fair price for that casting we will then see if we can deduct, we make but a small living profit, and cannot afford to sell [illegible] for nothing.

Please let us hear from you, and if we can make matters right, you may rest assured that we will.
